Today at Pathshala
Our Pathshala
Established in 2006 under the divine vision of Pujya Swami Sudarshanacharya "Shashi" Ji Maharaj, the Sankat Mochan Sanskrit Pathshala is more than a school — it is a living Gurukul. Here, the ancient tradition of vedic learning flows unbroken, from teacher to student, as it has for thousands of years.
We offer completely free education to children of all backgrounds, regardless of caste, creed, or economic status. Our curriculum weaves together Sanskrit language, vedic scriptures, classical arts, yoga, and modern academics — producing students who are grounded in dharma and equipped for the world.
With campuses in Patna, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, and over 500 students currently enrolled, the Pathshala is Maharaj Ji's greatest gift to the next generation of Bharat.

Life at the Pathshala
Moments of learning, devotion, and joy from the daily life of our students.
Families Speak
The transformation we see in our students is best expressed by the families who walk this path with us.
"My daughter has learned Sanskrit shlokas and values I never expected a school to teach so beautifully."
"My son joined the Pathshala three years ago unable to read a single Sanskrit shloka. Today he recites the Bhagavad Gita from memory, performs the Sandhya Vandanam daily, and has also topped his CBSE exams. This place is a miracle."
"We are a poor family from a village near Varanasi. We could never have afforded any school, let alone one of this quality. The hostel, food, books, everything is free. Maharaj Ji has given our daughter a future. We weep with gratitude."
Join the Pathshala
Admissions are open for the new academic year. All education, materials, and residential facilities are completely free.
Important Note
Students from economically weaker sections are given priority admission. No child is ever turned away due to inability to pay — because there is nothing to pay.
