Seva is often treated as something we do after our own needs are met — a supplement to a comfortable life. But the dharmic tradition places seva at the centre, not the periphery. To serve before we ask, to give before we accumulate, is to align ourselves with the rhythm of dharma itself.

This is why Annadaan, Vidya Daan, and every form of seva the trust undertakes are not charity in the transactional sense — they are sadhana, a practice that shapes the one who serves as much as the one who is served.
